My Philosophy - Message from Cheri
We are all here to help those who cannot help themselves. Sometimes a gentle smile or the touch of our hand can make a small difference to one of God's little creatures in this cold indifferent world.
We can always find the time to speak out when rights are being infringed upon. With guidance and support, we can help those who are incapable of helping themselves in every state, city and every neighborhood throughout the world.
It is what we do at this very minute that will determine whether or not we want to bring about a change to make life for the less fortunate a little bit better. The next time you see someone alone and sad, ask yourself how can I make this person feel better?
Most of us have been blessed in numerous ways, and we are all connected by something much bigger and greater than we small beings are capable of totally understanding.
We are connected by the love we have and want to share. I believe we are doubly blessed for every good deed done. The person giving is being taught to love and to care about others. Throughout time we have had teachers that made a difference in our lives.
I want to lead everyone I am able to reach their potential. Go out and make a difference. Step up to the challenge whatever it is and take it on like a champion for a cause. We need more champions. Where have all the flowers gone? They haven't disappeared. They are here. We just have to nurture them one by one.
Have you done everything that you wanted to do as child? I know that I haven't and I know that my time here is near. It is important to make a difference in this world. God is watching us, and I want make Him proud of me. I hope to hear him say something like "Good job," "I knew I could count on you," and I want everyone to hear those words too.
We only go around once. Let us make our parents proud of us, just as we are of our children when they try so hard to get it right. It is our duty to help the helpless. What we do this very moment will affect the future. Not just our future but for all of mankind.
About Cheri
Cheri Amoruso is an accomplished prima ballerina with advanced studies and work in New York. One summer she was able to dance and study with the world renown Rockettes. However, her thirst for knowledge brought her to the University of Florida at Gainsville, where she excelled in the fields of elementary education and environmental studies.
She was honored with a position as assistant to the famous Professor Emeritus Dr. A. P. Black at the University of Florida, who was also the five-time president of the American Water Association and leader in the field of water purification and pollution. She also serves on the distinguished Rights Radio Braintrust.
Cheri later relocated to Houston, Texas, where she taught dance, drama, music and art at a prestigious private school - devoting quality time and the to students in a closer and smaller-sized class environment. thereby delivering more of a personal touch to these children. She especially specialized in dance, drama, music and art.
Cheri has and always will be involved with environmental issues. In 1975 she received the coveted Environmental Achievement Award of Excellence from the President of the United States, Gerald Ford.
She then began working with a large medical group where she served as chief administrative assistant to the Medical Director. There were multiple vital and crucial responsibilities inherent to this position, including but not limited to: relations with Boards of Directors of many insurance companies; advocate for patients and doctors; management of overall clinical affairs, and the overall day-to-day direction of most group business activities.
Her contributions towards life and death decisions were an essential component of the treatment plans of the medical staff. She shattered the glass ceiling of the time and eventually ascended to the position of Administrator.
Cheri met and then married Doctor Anthony Amoruso who had a local dermatology practice. She acted as office manager and overall supervision of the office for almost 10 years. She balanced this important position with the roles of full time mother and primary care-taker for for her chronically ill mother - while also a most loving and devoted wife.
In the late eighties, she and her husband were able to take advantage of an excellent and appealing offer from a large medical group in Southern California, where Cheri participated in many charitable causes and church related undertakings during her spare moments.
The year 2003 presented her with new choices and opportunities. Her husband was offered an important position with the largest dermatology group in Florida, happily allowing her to move back to beloved home state. Her husband is renowned in the area of Mohs Micrographic Surgery for skin cancer.
Cheri is involved in numerous charitable organizations. However, the establishment of her lifelong dream project has finally come to fruition: Angels for America.
Angels for America will dedicate a large percentage of the proceeds from the sale of valuable personal possessions and dedicate them exclusively to the families of our military heroes defending us in Iraq and Afghanistan -- especially those who have been wounded or given the ultimate sacrifice for all of us.
Even though multiple serious medical problems have plagued her, including cancer, Cheri is expanding her project and taking on other challenges. She will proceed undaunted, as usual, in her quest to help others fulfilling their expectations and dreams. She has been blessed with intuitive gifts and has helped many reach and achieve their fullest potential. Cheri is a strong enough to face any challenge that comes her way and overcome most obstacles that would overwhelm the average person. What you see is what you can expect from Cheri.
